Athletistic/Tennis. First racket in the world, Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev commented on the situation with Serbian Novak Djokovic, who, due to his refusal to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, may not travel to the United States and not play in the ‘US Open.
“Yes, I would like to see Novak at the US Open. But I can’t do anything. It’s the government that makes the rules and I don’t know if they can change. But if I made the decision, so of course I would like him to play. I’m happy when all the best come together in the tournament” Medvedev said.
Currently, the United States has rules under which unvaccinated citizens are prohibited from entering the country. Many athletes, sports experts, as well as well-known personalities from other fields, are in favor of the exceptional authorization of Djokovic in the country.
The US Open will take place from August 29 to September 11.
