Fritz beat Zverev in three sets and made it to the final of the 2024 ATP Final Tournament

The fate of the ticket to the final had to be determined in the tiebreaker of the third game

The first semi-final has ended ATP 2024 Final Tournament – American tennis player Taylor Fritz in three sets he defeated the second racket of the world, a representative of Germany Alexander Zverev.

The match lasted 2 hours and 24 minutes. There was only one break in the opening set – it was scored by Taylor Fritz, who won the game with a score of 6:3.

The second set followed the same scenario, but in the opposite direction. Now Alexander Zverev took just one game on his opponent’s serve – the German eventually won 6:3 and sent the match into a decisive third game.

In the final set, each of the opponents held their serve well, so in such an equal and competitive match it was fair to resort to a tiebreaker. His triumph was Taylor Fritz – the American did not lose a single ball on his serve, but made two mini-breaks.

Taylor Fritz’s opponent in the final will be determined today in the confrontation between Jannik Sinner and Kasper Ruud.
