The Netherlands will play the winner of the Germany-Canada pairing
Team Netherlands became the first semi-finalist Davis Cup 2024.
In the quarter finals the Dutch team beat Spain — 2:1. First, the former first racket of the world Rafael Nadal lost to Botik van de Zandshulp, but Carlos Alcaraz defeated Tallon Grixpor.
The fate of the match was decided in the doubles match, where van de Zandshulp and Koolhof beat the tandem of Alcaraz and Granjolers in two tiebreakers. Thus, Spain has not been able to reach the semi-finals of the Davis Cup since 2019.
The Netherlands will play the winner of the Germany-Canada pair. The remaining two quarter-final matches are Italy vs. Argentina and USA vs. Australia.
