Ukrainian tennis player Katarina Zavatskaya was defeated in the first round of the tournament WTA 125 in Charleston (USA) — in two sets she lost to the “neutral” Ekaterina Makarova.

The match lasted exactly 1 hour. Zavatskaya lost the opening game to zero, and in the second, with the score 0:5, she was able to win the game on a move, which became her only one.

In the second round, Ekaterina Makarova will face Varvara Lepchenko, competing under the US flag.
