Russian women Anna Kalinskaya And Diane Schneider nominated for the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) award in the Progress of the Year category, according to the organization’s official website.
Last season, Kalinskaya reached the finals of the WTA 1000 tournaments in Dubai and WTA 500 in Berlin, and the 25-year-old also reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. Kalinskaya started the season at 80th place in the world rankings, her best result was 11th place. The tennis player finished the season ranked 14th in the world.
Schneider won four titles during the 2024 season. She also won Olympic silver in doubles. Since the start of the season, the Russian has gone from 97th to 12th position, she now occupies 13th place.
