The American tennis player withdrew from the Cincinnati tournament after beating Kasatkina

American tennis player Amanda Anisimova withdrew from the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati (USA) due to an ankle injury, reports the press service of the organizers of the competition.

Anisimova withdrew before the second round match against compatriot Shelby Rodgers. In the first round, the athlete defeated the Russian Daria Kasatkina . The game ended with the score 6:4, 6:4.

Anisimova is ranked 23rd in the world rankings, in 2022 the 20-year-old tennis player won a WTA singles tournament.

The Cincinnati tournament runs from August 15-21.
