Andrei Olkhovsky, champion of the 1994 Australian Open and 1993 French Open in mixed doubles, considers interesting the decision of multiple Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic to invite two-time Olympic champion Andy Murray to the coaching team .
On Saturday, Djokovic announced that Murray had become his coach.
“I didn’t even imagine that Djokovic would look for another coach. But the fact that Murray joined Djokovic’s team is interesting. It will be a very interesting tandem. Murray is a hard worker and a talented athlete. It’s interesting to see how they will prepare with Djokovic,” Olkhovsky was quoted as saying by “Championship”.
Murray retired from playing in August. He is the only double Olympic champion in men’s singles. The Briton also has Olympic silver in mixed doubles, two victories at Wimbledon and one at the US Open.
