Ovcharenko made it to the second round of the Challenger in Portugal

Second racket of Ukraine Alexander Ovcharenko passed the first round of the main draw of the tournament ATP Challenger 100 in Portuguese Maya.

In a fight that lasted one hour and 42 minutes, the Ukrainian tennis player beat Ryan Neiboer from the Netherlands.

In the first game, Alexander, who, like his opponent, made it into the main draw through two rounds of qualifying, served for the set with the score 5:3, but lost his serve. However, the Ukrainian managed to take the set thanks to a successful break in the 12th game.

Neibourg started the second game with a converted break point, but then Ovcharenko won four games in a row and did not lose the advantage he had gained.

In the second round, the Ukrainian will fight with the third seeded of the tournament – Bosnian Damir Dzumhur (No. 106 ATP ranking).
