“The ATP ranking should be treated calmly” – Selivanenko on Medvedev’s front row

Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) Vice-President Alexei Selivanenko has shared his opinion on the Russian’s presence Daniel Medvedev first in the ATP rankings.

– Scoring should be handled calmly. Pleasant moments when you become the first for the first time, then – at the end of the year. Then it’s a race for records: more weeks between their tennis players, of all. Giving or taking a few weeks is not something to celebrate. The next mark is the first of the year. Tennis has many records. It should not be an end in itself, as Nadal and Djokovic say, – quote the words of Selivanenko “Championship”.

Earlier, the Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who leads the championship race this season and occupies the third row of the world ranking, could not overcome the second round of the Cincinnati Masters.
