Yanchuk estimated Medvedev’s chances of beating Tsitsipas in the Cincinnati tournament semifinals

Honored Russia coach Viktor Yanchuk shared his expectations from the world’s first racket game Daniel Medvedev with the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinals of the Masters Series tournament in Cincinnati.

— I am intrigued because I consider the odds to be equal. Medvedev is not interested in character and stability – these are his strengths. But Tsitsipas is more of an inspirational player. Therefore, if he plays with inspiration, the initiative will be in his hands and he will be sharper.

However, it is a big question: how will Tsitsipas play? In your best tennis or not? If he’s not the best, then Medvedev has a better chance, because he’s more reliable. I would like to believe it will be 60/40 in favor of Medvedev. The chances can be 50-50. It all depends on Tsitsipas, – quotes the words of Yanchuk “Championship”.

Medvedev and Tsitsipas have already met nine times on the court, the Russian tennis player has won seven matches.

The Medvedev-Tsitsipas match will take place on Saturday and will start at 23:00 Moscow time.
