Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas after the defeat against the Croats Borny Chorica at the Masters Series tournament final in Cincinnati, he compared him to the world’s leading snowshoer, Daniil Medvedev.
Tsitsipas lost to Coric in the final of the tournament with the score 6: 7 (0: 7), 2: 6, and in the semi-finals he beat Medvedev – 7: 6 (8: 6), 3: 6, 6:3.
“The less you miss him, the more he complicates your life. He almost looks like Daniil Medvedev, but hits the ball a bit harder, adding a bit more spin to the ball, opening up the court. In fact, his ball becomes a bit heavier when it bounces off the strings of your racquet, – quotes Tsitsipas on the official website of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
He also noted that he couldn’t come up with a specific reason for Coric’s loss yet.
– I’m still looking for an answer. He was obviously the complete opposite of me, very involved in the game. I think he served well, got me moving a lot. I was able to use my chances in the first set. I don’t know why he didn’t. I acted too quickly,” Tsitsipas said.
