Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremskaya lost to Frenchwoman Alize Cornet in the first round of the tournament WTA 250 in American Cleveland.
The rivals finished the fight, which they started on Sunday, August 21. Dayana lost in the first set in 29 minutes, after which the match was interrupted due to rain.
A day later, Yastremskaya also failed to put up serious resistance to the Frenchwoman. Dayana lost the first four games of the second set. In the end, Yastremska was able to win back six match-balls on her serve, but in the end she still lost.
For the Ukrainian, this is the sixth defeat in a row. The last time Dayana was able to beat Elena Ostapenko was in June at a tournament in Birmingham.
