Ukrainian spent a little more than an hour on the match
Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk advanced to the second round of the tournament WTA 250 in Canadian Granby. Marta beat Slovenian Tamara Zidansek in straight sets.
The Ukrainian woman spent a little more than an hour on the court. Marta spent only 21 minutes on the first set, easily defeating her opponent – 6:1.
At the beginning of the second installment, the Ukrainian unexpectedly missed the pitch. But then she regained the initiative again, and brought the match to victory.
Previously, Martha has risen two positions in the updated WTA world rankings and ranks 72nd. The first racket of Ukraine is still Elina Svitolina, who has suspended her career.
The tournament in Granby will be held from 21 to 27 August. In the second round, Kostyuk will play with the winner of the match Jamie Forlis (Australia) – Martina Stakusic (Canada).
