Athletistic / Tennis Four-time US Open winner John McEnroe has said he doesn’t believe former world number one Novak Djokovic could miss the US Open later this month due to his refusal to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.

“I don’t think that’s fair. I think it’s a joke.

I would get vaccinated and I would participate in the tournament, but he is adamant in his beliefs and you have to respect that. It’s been two and a half years since the pandemic started, and I think people around the world know more about it. The idea that he might miss the tournament because of this is a joke to me,” McEnroe said quoting Reuters.

Recall that in 2022, Novak Djokovic was also unable to participate in the Australian Open due to visa problems.
