The winner of seven ATP tournaments, Andrey Chesnokov, believes that the world’s top racket, Daniil Medvedev, can repeat the 2021 result and win the US Open again.
In the first round, the Russian will play with American Stefan Kozlov.
– Is Medvedev the big favorite of the tournament, without Djokovic? I think so. He can repeat last year’s result. Daniel plays well. He has the potential to go to the final. The US Open is a tournament where matches consist of five sets. I think Medvedev is in good standing and will be able to please us,” Chesnokov told the “Championship”.
The US Open will be held in New York from August 29 to September 11.
