Ukrainian confidently defeated Nao Hibino in the final qualification
Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur beat the Japanese Nao Hibino in the qualifying final US Open and advanced to the main draw of the last Grand Slam tournament of the season.
Daria confidently controlled the course of the duel with the Japanese. Snigur easily took the first set, and then took the lead in the second set.
The Ukrainian showed the only signs of excitement at the end of the set. Daria missed three match-balls and allowed her opponent to get closer in the score. However, she immediately rallied and won the decisive game on Khibino’s serve “under zero”.
Daria became the fifth Ukrainian to play in the main draw of the American Major. Recall that Angelina Kalinina, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremskaya and Lesya Tsurenko got into the main draw of the tournament directly.
In the first round of the US Open, Snigur will play with former world No. 7 seeded in the US, Romanian Simona Halep. The fight is set for August 29th.
