Svitolina left the top 60 of the WTA rankings
Angelina Kalinina climbed into WTA ranking to 47th place (+2) and again became the first racket of Ukraine.
This happened after Elina Svitolina, having lost points for last year’s WTA title in Chicago, dropped to 64th position (-21). Recall that Elina has not performed in the Tour since March, as she is expecting the birth of her daughter.
After reaching the semi-finals at the Granby tournament, Marta Kostyuk improved her position – 65th place (+7).
Lesya Tsurenko, moving up to 87th place (+2), came close to Dayana Yastremska, who retained her 86th position.
Recall that this week Kalinina lost to German Laura Siegemund in the first round of the WTA 250 tournament in Cleveland, USA.
Angelina and four other Ukrainians – Daria Snigur, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremska and Lesya Tsurenko will start in the US Open main draw.
US Open-2022 will be held from August 29 to September 11.
