American Serena Game Tickets williams at the US Open, which is expected to be the last tournament of the 23-time Grand Slam winner’s career, to reach nearly $100,000 on resale ticketing platform StubHub.
On the distributor’s website, the most expensive ticket costs $99,999 and will be seated in the front row of box 125. Additionally, a ticket for a similar seat in a nearby box can be purchased for $1012. The minimum ticket price for a match is currently $214.
Earlier Serena Williams, who has won the US Open six times, announced that she will be retiring after this year’s US Grand Slam tournament. The US Open will be held from August 29 to September 11 in New York.
In the first-round match, Williams, 40, will play August 29 against world number 80 racquet Danki Kovinic of Montenegro. The match will take place on the Arthur Ashe Court, which can accommodate over 23,000 spectators.
