Ukrainian lost to the twentieth racket of the world
Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremskaya lost to the twentieth racket of the world American Madison Keys in the opening match US Open.
In the first set, Yastremska led 4-1, but Keys managed to level the score. With the score 6:5, the Ukrainian failed to realize three set points at the reception.
In the second installment, the tennis players kept their games until the score was 3:2 in favor of the Keys. There was an exchange of breaks in the sixth and seventh games, after which Keys took another serve from Dayana and filed for the match on the first attempt.
Dayana Yastremskaya lost her seventh match in a row and for the seventh time in a row she failed to overcome the starting round at the Grand Slam tournament.
Recall that the Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur made it to the second round of the US Open-2022, sensationally beating the seventh racket of the world, the representative of Romania, Simona Halep.
On the second day of the US Open, three more Ukrainians will play in the first round of the women’s singles tournament – Angelina Kalinina, Marta Kostyuk and Lesya Tsurenko.
