Russian tennis player Pavel Kotov failed to reach the second round of the US Open.
In the first round, Kotov was beaten by American Brandon Nakashima. The match lasted 2 hours 33 minutes and ended with the score 6:7 (4:7), 2:6, 2:6.
In the next round, Nakashima will face 17th seeded Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria.
The US Open takes place in New York from August 29 to September 11.
