Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal became the first singles player to qualify for the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) final tournament this season.
Nadal secured his place in the final tournament after defeating Italian Fabio Fognini in the second round of the US Open on Friday night. The Spaniard qualified for the final tournament for the 17th time, the second result in the history of the competition.
The final ATP tournament will take place from November 13 to 20 in Turin.
