Roger Federer, who holds 20 Grand Slam titles, gave a long interview for the ATP dedicated to Serena.
– Hi, Serena, it’s Roger. I wanted to congratulate you on a brilliant career. I know what you’ve done in your career and it’s just amazing. With mixed feelings, you are probably leaving this great sport, which has given everything and even more. Best wishes to the fans who will surely miss you a lot and I am one of them,” Federer wrote.
The legendary Spaniard made it clear to Serena that he would be happy to see her back on the big pitch.
– I think the future will be bright. Please return to the tennis community. We always welcome you with open arms and will always be happy to see you again, so please come back,” Federer said as quoted by ATP.
