Ukrainian Volodko lost in the final of the ITF tournament in Leiria

Ukrainian Katerina Volodko (Bondarenko) lost in the final ITF tournament in Leiria (Portugal).

In the final match, the 36-year-old Ukrainian, who got into the main draw through qualification, lost in two and a half hours to the third seed Natalia Stevanovich from Serbia. In the third set, our tennis player lost the advantage, leading with a score of 4:0.

During the meeting, Volodko completed three aces, making 21 double faults, converted 9 out of 14 break points and lost the same number of games on her own serve.

For the Ukrainian, this was the first ITF final since October 2014, when she won the American Macon (W50) title.

Recall that during her performances at the WTA level, Katerina won two trophies – in Birmingham (2008) and Tashkent (2017).
