Representative of Ukraine Marta Kostyuk did not shake hands with Belarusian tennis player Alexandra Sasnovitch in the US Open doubles second round match.
The Ukrainian teamed up with Chinese Zhang Shuai. They beat a pair of Sasnovich and Slovak Teresa Mikhalikova – 6:1, 6:2.
After the match, Kostyuk did not shake hands with Sasnovich.
The 20-year-old Ukrainian athlete previously refused to shake hands with another Belarusian representative, Victoria Azarenka, during a singles match at the tournament. Then the tennis players simply exchanged touches of rackets. In this meeting, Kostyuk lost – 2:6, 3:6.
