Athletistic/Tennis. Former Russian tennis player Yevgeny Kafelnikov has shared his opinion on tennis player Andrei Rublev’s nasty tendency to lose in the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam tournament.
“In fact, there is an unhealthy tendency: it reaches this stage and then fails. Probably, it is no longer an accident, but a sad pattern. How to overcome it, it is difficult for me to say. There is probably some element of psychology in there, but I wouldn’t believe that psychology played a major role. I think it’s a combination of many elements, but it’s really alarming,” Kafelnikov said.
In the quarterfinals of the US Open (US Open), Andrei Rublev lost to American Francis Tiaf with the score 6:7, 6:7, 4:6. Before that, Rublev played in the quarter-finals of Grand Slam tournaments five times: twice at the US Open (2017, 2020), two more times at Roland Garros (2020, 2022) and once at the Open d Australia (2021). Andrey lost in each of those fights.
