Australian tennis player Nick Kirios couldn’t contain his emotions after the defeat of the Russian Karena Khachanova in the quarter-finals of the US Open.

The match, which took place on Wednesday, lasted 3 hours 41 minutes and ended with the score of 7:5, 4:6, 7:5, 6:7 (3:7), 6:4 in favor of the representative of Russia. Immediately after the loss, Kyrios smashed two of his racquets on the court in a fit of anger.

Khachanov, 26, reached the semi-finals of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in his career. His next opponent at the US Open will be Norwegian Kasper Ruud.
