Karen Khachanov failed to reach the semi-finals of the US Open. The Russian lost to the Norwegian in four games Casper Ruud .
The match lasted just over three hours. Khachanov filed 15 in a row, but gave up five games on his balls.
Ruud will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz and American Francis Tiafoe in the final of the tournament.
Khachanov reached the semi-finals of Grand Slam tournaments for the first time in his career.
