The Women’s Tennis Association has released an updated version of the Women’s Singles Rankings.
Representative of Tunisia Ons Gil in the final of the US Open lost against the leader of the classification Iga Schwentek from Poland. Gil moved from fifth place to second. Estonian Anette closes the top three Kontaveit . There are two more changes in the top 10 – American Coco Gauff added 4 positions and moved up to the eighth row, French Caroline Garcia in the updated version took 10th place (+7 positions).
Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina left the top ten, after settling on the 11th line of the ranking (-2 positions). Speedwell Kudermetova added five places – from 18th to 13th. Ekaterina Aleksandrova, Lyudmila Samsonova, Anastasia Potapova and Anna Kalinskaya also climbed several positions.
