Alcaraz set the record for most playing time in Grand Slam tournaments

Hispanic Carlos Alcaraz became the winner of the US Open by beating Norwegian Kasper Ruud in the final in four games.

As reported, the 19-year-old Spaniard has spent a total of 23 hours and 40 minutes on the pitch during the current campaign in the tournament, which is a new record in Grand Slam tournaments. The previous achievement was set by South African Kevin Anderson at Wimbledon in 2018.

Alcaraz, 19, will top the updated world rankings, replacing Russian Daniil Medvedev on the front row. Alcaraz will become the youngest tennis player to become the number one ranked player.
