Kalinina remains the first racket of Ukraine, Svitolina left the top 100
In the WTA doubles rankings Ludmila Kichenok repeated the national record, climbing to 9th place for the first time.
Previously, only two Ukrainian tennis players climbed to 9th place in the doubles ranking – Elena Tatarkova (1999) and Kateryna Bondarenko (2008).
Recall that at the US Open-2022, Lyudmila Kichenok, paired with Elena Ostapenko from Latvia, reached the third round.
The first line in the national singles ranking was retained by Angelina Kalinina, who remains 47th in the world classification.
In addition to Kalinina, the top 100 includes three more Ukrainians: Marta Kostyuk (54th), Dayana Yastremska (89th) and Lesya Tsurenko (92nd).
Access to the second round of the US Open allowed Daria Snigur to rise to 108th place in the WTA rankings for the first time. She improved her position in the ranking by 16 positions at once.
Elina Svitolina, who has not been on tour since March of this year and is expecting the birth of her daughter, left the top 100 for the first time since February 2013 and now occupies 128th place.
