Athletistic/Tennis. Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) President Shamil Tarpishchev believes that leading Russian tennis players have the right to miss the upcoming Kremlin Cup.

“It makes no sense for Medvedev, Rublev and our other main players to participate. They have to score points to be higher in the rankings, and this year the Kremlin Cup does not give points. This year we bet on our reservations. . On the tennis players who will come out tomorrow for the leading roles,” Tarpishchev said.

The Kremlin Cup will be held in Moscow at the end of October – the exact date of the competition will be determined later. This year, the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) have removed the tournament from their calendars.

As Tarpishchev added, on the eve of the Kremlin Cup, the FTR plans to hold a week-long tennis festival in educational and sports institutions.
