Athletistic/Tennis. German tennis player Alexander Zverev will not be able to play for the German national team at the Davis Cup group stage in Hamburg.
“Competing in the Davis Cup in my hometown of Hamburg was one of my big goals that motivated me again and again over the past few weeks. But now that dream has been shattered and it makes me very frustrated.
I have a new injury. I will stay in Hamburg and support the team from the bench,” Tennisnet Zverev quotes.
Instead of Zverev, Yannick Hanfmann will play for the national team.
The German national team will play the Davis Cup group stage in Hamburg from September 14-18.
