Athletistic/Tennis. British tennis player Emma Raducanu commented on her victory in the first round of the WTA-250 hard tournament in Portoroz (Slovenia).
She went to the second round after her opponent, Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska, was refused in the second set.
“Nobody wants to win because of the opponent’s refusal. Dayana is an extremely fierce competitor, so I knew it would be a tough match,” Eurosport quotes Emma Radukanu.
In the second round, Radukanu will meet the winner of the pair Elisabeth Mandlik (America) – Anna-Lena Friedsam (Germany).
The tournament takes place from September 12 to 19.
