According to him, he is afraid of failing in the eyes of those close to him.
“What am I afraid of? Failure. That’s probably one of my fears. Letting a lot of people down.
In which way? Don’t live up to their expectations. I’ve won a Grand Slam before, now I’m number one in the world, but there will probably be tournaments where I can’t live up to expectations, I’ll let people around me down. That’s what I fear the most,” Carlos Alcaraz told the ATP press office.
In the 2022 US Open final, Alcaraz defeated Norwegian Kasper Ruud in four sets.
