“In Europe, nobody will train you specially” – tennis player Kotov

Russian tennis player Pavel Kotov explained why he does not intend to change his place of residence.

– Many people say that when training in Russia it is impossible to play at a professional level. I can personally say that I haven’t trained abroad for a single week. I have always trained only in Russia: in Bud Zdorov’s club for about 11 years. In my opinion, this is one of the best clubs in Russia: there are a lot of courts – 17. Of these, nine are indoor hard, eight are open, which have different surfaces: four hard and ground beaten. In addition to the courts, there is a gym, a fitness room. There is not enough swimming pool yet, but I hope it will be soon. I have played club tournaments in many places so I have something to compare.

The most important thing is that the workouts are for you. If you go to an ordinary European academy, no one will train you there specially. No one will need you. There is no point in going there. As a result, here I have adjusted everything to my problems, they form only what I need. This is the most important”, — quotes the words of Kotov “Championship”.
