US Open 2022 sets two new attendance records

More than 776 thousand fans visited the tournament during the main draw

US Open 2022 installed two new attendance record. During two weeks of the main draw, the tournament was visited by 776 120 fans.

Thus, the previous record of 737,872 people set in 2019 was broken.

Total attendance for the three weeks, including qualifying and US Open Fan Week, was 888,044. The previous three-week record of 853,227 was also set in 2019.

The 2022 US Open singles winners are Iga Sventek and Carlos Alcaraz.

Recall that the organizers of the US Open were able to collect $ 2 million during the tournament, which will go to help those affected by the war in Ukraine.

Fundraising began with the US Open Fan Week before the main tournament, during which they held a charity match Tennis Plays for Peace. During the match, the organizers raised $1.2 million.
