The Ukrainian won the first set, but could not build on the success
Ukrainian tennis player Katerina Beindl lost in the first round of the tournament WTA 250 in Parma. Ukrainian in three sets lost to the first seed of the tournament Maria Sakkari from Greece.
The intense duel lasted two hours and 46 minutes. The first set was left for the Ukrainian. Beindl had four set points and was able to put the squeeze on her opponent in a tie-break.

Beindl entered the main draw of the tournament in Parma through qualification. The Ukrainian first defeated the Frenchwoman Elsa Jakemo, and then beat the representative of Romania Irina Bara.
In the updated WTA ranking, Katerina ranks 124th. Angelina Kalinina remains the first racket of Ukraine.
