Wiktor Nowak continued his strong start at Slavia Prague, setting up a goal in a 2-1 win over FK Pardubice in the Chance Liga's third round.
The 21-year-old midfielder joined Slavia Prague from Gornik Zabrze this summer for a transfer fee of 2.4 million euros. He spent last season on loan at Wisla Plock, playing 33 matches with five goals and one assist.
Assist against Pardubice
Nowak did not score against Pardubice, but he headed on a pass from Elias Pitak to Mojmir Chytil, who opened the scoring in the 50th minute. He also set up a chance in the first half with a backheel pass, but Chytil failed to convert it.
Tomas Solil equalized for Pardubice two minutes later. Chytil then scored again in the 80th minute to secure the win for Slavia Prague. Nowak played 78 minutes before being substituted.
League leaders
Slavia Prague, coached by Jindrich Trpisovsky, lead the Chance Liga with 9 points after winning all three of their league matches so far this season. In the previous round, Nowak scored twice against FC Slovacko, and he added another goal in a match against Banik Ostrava.
