Chantelle Cameron will face Mikaela Mayer in a super welterweight title unification fight at the bp pulse LIVE arena in Birmingham on Saturday, August 29.
The UK's WBO super welterweight world champion Cameron brings a 22-1 record with eight knockouts into the 10-round contest. America's Mayer, the unified WBA and WBC world champion, enters with a 22-2 record and five knockouts. The showdown at the 154-pound limit will unify three of major boxing's primary world championship belts.
Cameron comes into the bout on the back of an April unanimous decision victory over Michaela Kotaskova. The British fighter famously handed Irish legend Katie Taylor the sole defeat of her career in May 2023. Mayer last competed in October 2025, defeating Mary Spencer via unanimous decision following successive victories over Sandy Ryan.
Both fighters appeared in live media workouts on Wednesday ahead of the UK versus USA main event on the MVPW-06 card. Speaking ahead of the fight, Cameron expressed supreme confidence in maintaining her title reign. "It will take someone special to beat me - Mayer is not that!" Cameron said.
Undercard and support bouts
In the chief support bout, unified WBC and WBO lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois defends her status against former US Olympian Amelia Moore in a clash of top-tier 135-pound talent.
Three-weight world champion Terri Harper also features on the card, making her return to the ring at super-welterweight against Miranda Reyes.
The main card is rounded out by two additional contests, with Reina Tellez facing Jessica Barry and Tysie Gallagher taking on Brandi Robinson. Featuring two world title fights, the event represents the most significant women's boxing card held in Birmingham in recent history.

Main card coverage of MVPW-06 will be broadcast live on Sky Sports starting at 7pm UK time on Saturday, August 29. Viewers can watch on television or stream the action contract-free.
A live stream of the undercard fights will be available on the Sky Sports website, the Sky Sports app, and the Sky Sports YouTube channel starting from around 5pm.
The preliminary schedule includes four bouts: Shannon Courtenay vs Ebonie Cotton, Neeraj Goyat vs Yessin Koulali, Gemma Richardson vs Kirstie Bavington, and Scott Melvin vs Dylan Cheema.
