About the best personalities and the main figures of the tour – here.
Goalkeeper – Nazar Bayda (Metallurg)
We note the steady progress of the 21-year-old goalkeeper – although only once in nine of his matches he remained “dry”, although there were blunders this season, Bayda helps Zaporizhia more than once in every match. So in the capital, where they hosted another newcomer of the First League – SC Poltava – Nazar came into play after strikes by Streltsov, Bychkov, Gorzhuy and Shcherbak. In the moment with Karetnik’s goal, it was hard to bail out, the player remained free at the far post. This draw is largely due to the courageous game of the goalkeeper.
Best in Group “A”: Roman Lepka (Carpathians)
Right back – Egor Shalfeev (Metallurg)
Let’s admit it right away – this is not the best round for flank defenders, and Shalfeev also made mistakes (it was he who did not run after Karetnik at the moment with the Poltava goal). But we note that the midfielder was forced to close the place of the injured Sokol, besides, in general, Yegor played quite actively on his flank. Several times he gave out luxurious passes to Sidorov, one of which Alexei brilliantly converted under a goal.
Best in Group “A”: Vasily Hakman (Bukovina)
Central defender – Igor Duts (Karpaty)
In Chernivtsi, the Lviv team played one of the toughest matches of the season, so they (and Duts in particular) had a surprising amount of work to do. In this regard, Igor, with his ability to play one-on-one on physics and power, had his advantages over his rivals. In addition, Duts played an important role in front – it was he who quickly sorted out the turmoil after the flank pass, shooting the gate with a strong blow. Karpaty wound up after the defender equalized (for the second time in a row, a defender helps the “lions” with an important goal).
Best in Group “B”: Sergey Shvets (LNZ Cherkasy)
Central defender – Maxim Demchuk (Niva)
Who would have thought that the Ternopils would defeat the Carpathian region, and even “dry”! For this alone, the duet Zin – Demchuk deserves high marks, because the opponent is slowly returning the players from the infirmary and is getting stronger with each round. In addition, a couple of center-backs scored ahead – both of them scored a goal. Maksim opened the scoring in the 25th minute, when the final 4:0 would still seem like a fantasy.
Best in Group “B”: Viktor Pilipenko (Flint)
Left back – Roman Sliva (Niva)
I have long wanted to note Plum, who plays on his flank with commendable tenacity and dedication almost like a center back (in whose position he will also play without problems). Roman not only performed a large amount of work on defense, but also actively supported Riznyk, Kozak and other attacking players from Ternopil Niva. Without his reliability, it would be more difficult for his mid and front line partners to combine.
Best in Group “B”: Alexey Malaki (Gornyak-Sport)
Central midfielder – Bogdan Kushnirenko (Polesie)
Polesie visited Demidov for the second time this season, but the match with Mariupol was harder for the leader than with Dinaz. It’s good that Zhytomyr residents have such a trump card as Kushnirenko’s breakwater. He opened the scoring just before the break, successfully connecting to a corner from Yanakov and breaking through with a rebound from the goal frame. In the future, Bogdan did not turn off the game. By the way, Gitchenko finished off the ball into the goal after Kushnirenko hit.
The best in group “B”: Ruslan Chernenko (Obolon)
Right midfielder – Arsenty Doroshenko (Niva)
We put the ubiquitous attacking midfielder of Ternopil to the right. In the match with Prykarpattya, Doroshenko probably played his strongest match for Niva. Two corners, which he performed for the hosts, became effective. Arsenty also started the third effective combination. The only disappointment is that Doroshenko’s aimed shots were not successful, but for now, the main thing is that he takes the initiative and uses every opportunity to punch. The strike from the Dnipro was well placed.
Best in Group “B”: Denis Pidruchny (Miner-Sport)
Attacking midfielder – Andrei Bezhenar (Epicenter)
The playmaker from Kamenchan led their game and let through most of the hosts’ attacks and many set pieces. It was from Bezhenar’s pass that Girny equalized the score at the end of the first half, which turned the tide of the fight and eventually helped Epicenter to win a strong-willed victory over Dinaz from Vyshgorod for the second time in the season.
Best in Group “B”: Dmitry Shcherbak (SC Poltava)
Left midfielder – Bohdan Shmihelsky (Skoruk)
The technical and inventive Shmigelsky is one of the most spectacular players on the tour. Together with Perebora, they organized a goal against Gornyak-Sport, later Bogdan could score more. On speed and technique, the winger outplayed opponents, and in Gorishni Plavny, with good implementation and a bit of luck, he could well draw a double and score several assists at his own expense.
Best in Group “A”: Andrey Riznyk (Niva)
Forward – Alexander Batalsky (Obolon)
The hero of the tour for the first time in a month (and only the third time in the season) was in the starting lineup, and immediately helped the people of Kiev to win a bright victory over FC Chernihiv. Batalsky scored from the passes of Pear and Chernenko, and could have scored at least twice more. Thanks to the master class in the match with the Tigers, the most productive striker of the modern First League moved to ninth place in the list of the best scorers in the history of the competition.
Best in Group “A”: Alexey Sidorov (Flint)
Forward – Maxim Girny (Epicenter)
For more than a month after the shooting double in the match with the Karpaty, the young scorer Girny was silent, but he found the strength to show himself well in the match with Dinaz. As in the first round, the Vyshgorod team couldn’t stop Maksim – he scored four of his six goals in matches with this opponent, and in general he scores this season only with doubles. It was Girny who equalized the score before the break with a pass from Bejenard and with a rebound from the guest player, and in the end Maxim brilliantly took advantage of the pass from S. Christina and brought victory to the hosts.
Best in Group “B”: Dmitry Kulik (FC Chernihiv)
Tour coach – Sergey Zadorozhny (Niva)
With several significant losses that weakened the choice of the coaching staff in several positions, Niva defeated Prykarpattya for the first time since 1996, entrenched in fourth place, which entitles them to compete in the championship round, and continued their excellent home streak (four matches without conceded goals, in which Ternopil scored 10 points out of 12 possible).

Joker Tour – Artur Shah (Karpaty)
This is a good tour for players who came on as subs: Buryak from Epitsentr, Galata from Kremen, Bey from Niva and Shah from Karpaty scored after coming on as subs, and these were important game episodes. We would like to pay tribute to the player of the Lviv club, who only appeared on the field for the third time this season and already 10 minutes after the substitution in the second half scored the winning goal for his team. The 17-year-old Shakh will always remember this match in Chernivtsi: the interception of Taranukha, a well-timed pass to Pryimak and a cold-blooded one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper. Checkmate!
SportArena.com stats: 3 league matches, 1 goal.
The best young player of the tour – Maxim Girny (Epicenter)
The double of the 21-year-old striker laid the foundations for the strong-willed victory of the Kamenchans over Dinaz – moreover, Girny scored both the first and the third (winning) goal of the hosts. With commendable consistency, Maxim is adding from league to league, constantly improving his class, average performance and transfer value.
SportArena.com stats: 10 league games, 6 goals, 1 assist.
