30 participants of the event are already known
Inter Miami, where Ukrainian Sergei Krivtsov performs, will become a participant Club World Cup 2025.
FIFA will announce this decision in the near future. Miami will be invited as the top MLS regular season team.
Thus, Inter Miami will occupy the quota intended for teams representing the hosts of the event. In total, 30 participants in the competition are known – two more positions officially remain vacant. Preliminarily, one of them will be occupied by Miami.
The Club World Championship in the new format will be held from June 15 to July 13, 2025. The tournament will take place in the USA, and 32 clubs (8 groups of 4 teams each) from six confederations will take part.
According to the rules, more than two clubs from one country cannot enter the tournament, unless they win the Champions League. The final of the tournament will take place in New York at MetLife Stadium. The stadium seats 82,500 and is home to the NFL’s New York Giants and New York Jets.
It was reported that all 12 participants in the 2025 World Cup from Europe have been decided: Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, PSG, Inter, Porto, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Salzburg.
Many are unhappy with the holding of the 2025 World Cup in the summer. The European Leagues (EL), FIFPRO Europe (the International Federation of Professional Footballers’ Associations) and the Spanish La Liga filed a complaint against the FIFA international calendar, and the head of La Liga, Javier Tebas, called for the cancellation of the Club World Cup.
