Greece won nine medals, including five golds, at the open European 420 Junior Championship in Lithuania, which brought together 171 boats from 17 countries.
The Greek team took five gold medals, two silver and two bronze at the event.
Clean sweep in the U17 men's mixed class
In the U17 men's mixed category, Greek boats took all three medals. In the U17 women's category, Greek sailors won gold and bronze.
The gold-medal pair of Jason Panagopoulos and Fevronia Bouzana completed what was described as a hat trick of titles. The duo previously won the European Circuit 2026 and the 2026 World Championship, and have now added the European Youth Championship 2026 to that list.
Greek sailing is considered one of the strongest forces in the world in youth development classes, including Optimist, Techno and ILCA 4, and the 420 class is now included in that assessment.
