Athletistic/Figure Skating. Stanislav Konstantinova, Universiade bronze medalist in figure skating, explained his decision to end his sports career.
The 22-year-old figure skater announced her retirement from the sport earlier this year.
“I could not find the motivation to continue my career. It was difficult to accept that the level around me had risen and that I could not compete for high places and participate in interesting tournaments.
To be honest, I like figure skating a lot, but what’s the point of continuing if you know in advance that even if you jump over your head, you can’t win?
You can repeat to yourself many times that the main thing is not the result, but the process itself, but I stopped being successful,” Konstantinova said.
