Olympic figure skating champion Alina Zagitova answered the question of who she considers to be stronger in figure skating – a man or a woman.
On Thursday, the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is hosting a session organized by the sports platform of the Roscongress Foundation and and devoted to sports competitions as products.
– How do you assess the new formats in figure skating? Will they get along?
– The new format was introduced in order to have more entertainment. As it turned out, there is where. Thus, not only the jumps determine the result, but also the artistry, the ability to keep the spectator, improving the skating technique. Also, in addition to the programs, we have costumes and music. Now they have introduced new competitions between a man and a woman, it’s an interesting format, as a man and a woman collide in the forehead, I wonder who will be the strongest. This is currently unclear.

“I don’t know… Let me say 50/50,” Zagitova said during the “Sport in the New Reality: From Competition to Product” session.
