Poland confidently triumphed over Ukraine
Team coach Poland Michal Probez I was pleased with the performance of my players in the sparring with Ukraine (3:1). The coach said the only downside of the game was the loss of Arkadiusz Milik due to injury.
“The match started well for us, except for Milik’s injury. We had a few scoring chances, we scored three times, but we didn’t have enough possession.”
“The Ukrainian team broke us a little, but we reacted well. After the break, we again had the opportunity to score, but failed to do so. We saw what needed to be improved.”
Milik was injured in the second minute of the meeting with the Ukrainians. However, the loss of the forward did not prevent Michal Probez’s team from triumphing in the game.
Due to injury, in addition to Milik, another player of the Polish national team will miss the Euro – Aston Villa defender Matty Cash. Probezh has not yet announced the final application for the European Championship. The initial list included 29 names.
The Polish team at Euro 2024 will play in the group stage with the Netherlands, Austria and France.
