Down-the-line.com/Judo. The European Judo Union, at the request of Ukraine, has established a ban on participation in competitions for athletes from Russia and Belarus. They are not allowed to participate even in neutral status. This was announced by Ukrainian Minister of Youth and Sports Vadym Gutsait. At the same time, for the time being, the International Judo Federation allows Russians to participate in competitions as neutral athletes.

“The sanctions are important, but unfortunately incomplete. All official international competitions in Russia have been canceled and Belarus under the auspices of the IFJ and the EJU. The EJU suspended the Russians and Belarusians from competition in a neutral status. Unfortunately, this has not yet been done by the international federation,” the official wrote.
