Ukrainian suffers muscle injury ahead of Tottenham match
Head coach Arsenal Mikel Arteta reported that the defender Alexander Zinchenko will miss several more weeks with a calf injury.
“I think Zinchenko will be out for a few more weeks, unfortunately,” Arteta said.
Zinchenko suffered a muscle injury before the match with Tottenham (1:0) on September 15. Due to the injury, he also missed the matches with Atalanta (0:0) and Manchester City (2:2).
In total, Oleksandr has played in two matches for the Gunners this season, without scoring. It was reported that Arsenal are ready to sell the 27-year-old Ukrainian in the winter transfer window.
Arsenal are fourth in the Premier League and Arteta’s side will next play against Bolton in the English League Cup round of 32 on September 25.
