A Russian bettor won 18 million rubles after predicting a draw in the Russian Cup match between Lokomotiv and CSKA Moscow, Betonmobile reported. The bookmaker client placed five million rubles on a draw at odds of 3.60.
The teams played to a 1:1 draw in regular time, allowing the bet to win. CSKA Moscow then won the penalty shootout 5:4.
The victory gave CSKA Moscow three points and second place in Group D of the Path of Regions in the Russian Cup after the first round. Lokomotiv remained in third position without a point.
