Former Russian tennis player Andrey Olkhovsky believes that Andrei Rublev outplayed Britain’s Jack Draper in the fourth round of the US Open in terms of pace, consistency and backline play.
On Monday, Rublev beat Draper 6:3, 3:6, 6:3, 6:4. The match lasted 2 hours and 44 minutes.
– Andrey resisted both pace and stability. The only breakdown occurred after a lost serve in the second set. But Andrei looked very good. Rublev dominated Draper from the back line, there weren’t many net outs. It’s a very good match in terms of rhythm and stability,” Olkhovsky told the “Championship”.
In the quarter-finals, Rublev will face fellow world number three Daniil Medvedev. The match will take place on Wednesday and will start at 8:30 p.m. Moscow time.
