The CSGO tournament that promises to mark the history of esports in South America will feature the Argentine team 9z Team and more than 1 million dollars in prizes.

Rio de Janeiro will be within 15 days the house of CSGO world at the completion of Intel Extreme Masters Major 2022, tournament that will bring together 24 of the best teams in the world, will distribute $1,250,000 with prizes and promises to mark the before and after in the history of electronic sports in South America.

The Major of Rio de Janeiro is a dispute between October 31 and November 13in two different places: Challengers and Legends Stages will be played at the convention center Riocentrowhile the Champions Stage is on Jeunesse Arena. The champion will keep 500 thousand dollars and the classification in IEM Katowice 2023.

The contest starts at 31 October with the Challenger stagewith a duration of four days, where 16 teams will meet in the Swiss format until they find eight classifieds who will advance to legend stage. As in American RMR, matches will be best on one map, except for elimination or classification, which will be BO3.

For his part, the legend stage is from October 5 to 8. Another Swiss format will be played with the same rules and number of teams as in the previous round and the best eight will be accessible playoffs, November 10-13. All matches will be best of three maps.
